Solar Panel Grants & SubsidiesSolar Panel Tracker / Frame in fieldSolar modules are installed on free standing support structures in a field/garden or on a tracker. Trackers support the panels in a large frame that follows/tracks the sun’s path across the sky during the day and can dramatically increase the production of a ground based system. On roof installations/ not integratedSolar panels are installed on top of the roof using aluminium rails. No tiles are removed unless access is required to the beams/support structure underneath to secure the rails. This method is by far the easiest way of installing solar electric panels and is the most popular way of installing hot water panels. The aluminium rails are often attached to very long stainless steel bolts that pass through a hole in the tiles into the roof structure. A UV resistant rubber seal is tightened down onto the tile using the steel bolt (under the aluminium rails) to prevent any water ingress. 2010 - €0.314 / kWh 2011 - €0.314 / kWh - Table 2011 rates and commercial premisesNon commercial/ home owner installations must be 3kW or less to qualify for the EDF buy back scheme. From 2012 onwards each of the above rates will be reduced by 10% per year. New contracts take that year’s rate and continue at that rate for the 20 year contract period. There is also a different set of tariffs available for commercial/business premises. A pdf is available with all the above information plus the business tariffs. Send an email to info@mysolarshop.eu with the word tariff in the subject and I’ll email you a copy of the full document.
